3 Metrics That Actually Matter (And 3 That Don’t)

3 Metrics That Actually Matter (And 3 That Don't) Image

In 2026, data is everywhere, but most of it is noise. If you want to scale your business, you need to stop obsessing over “Vanity Metrics.”

What to Ignore:

  1. Impressions: Who cares how many people “saw” your ad if they didn’t act?
  2. CPC (Cost Per Click): A cheap click that doesn’t buy is more expensive than a pricey click that converts.
  3. Total Likes: Double-taps don’t pay your staff.

What to Track:

  1. CPA (Cost Per Acquisition): Exactly how much does it cost you to get one real customer?
  2. ROAS (Return on Ad Spend): For every £1 you give Google or Meta, how much comes back?
  3. Conversion Rate: What percentage of your visitors are actually taking the next step?

Focus on the second list, and the first list will take care of itself.
